Team Birdie Brigade Finishes Their Incredible Season With A Win In The Tour Championship

Amidst the scenic setting of the esteemed Callippe Preserve Golf Course on a crisp October morning, the PGA Hackers Tour (PGAHT) hosted its culminating event of the year, the Tour Championship. Marking the third and final major tournament, this event boasted a formidable lineup of 16 highly skilled golfers, promising an unforgettable spectacle.

Team Birdie Brigade, triumphant in the preceding Masters of Hack and the US Hackers Open, aimed for a clean sweep of all three majors but faced the absence of John Nunes due to COVID. Stepping into his role was seasoned tour veteran Robert Pierce. Battling blustery winds and lightning-fast greens, the course posed multifaceted challenges, yet Team Birdie Brigade persisted, crafting a winning round of -7, marred only by a solitary bogey amidst their impressive tally of 8 birdies. Critical putts by Chris Nunes spearheaded their charge, complemented by powerful drives from Brady Clark and exceptional short-game finesse displayed by Greg Nunes and Robert Pierce, positioning them favorably for numerous birdie opportunities.

Team Jarboe showcased remarkable golf, securing a commendable runner-up finish at -4, showcasing immense potential and prowess that positions them as strong contenders for victory in the upcoming season, provided a few missteps are addressed.

Equally, Team Dolojan demonstrated steady performance, clinching the third position at -2, underlining their camaraderie and hinting at their future success as they continue to grow and evolve as a unit.

Despite finishing fourth at +3, Team Hom's score didn't truly reflect the caliber of golf they exhibited. Their representation was commendable, foreshadowing a promising future in the 2024 season.

The PGA Hackers Tour's relaunch in 2023 was a resounding success, fostering an unforgettable experience for all participants. Embracing both familiar and new faces, the tour not only expanded but also rekindled the camaraderie among its members, elevating the relaunch beyond expectations.

Gratitude extends to everyone involved this year, setting the stage for an even more remarkable 2024. Wishing all PGAHT members joyous holidays and anticipating an exciting year ahead.
